About Pack 9:

Founded in 1970, Cub Scout Pack 9 is excited to celebrate its 54th anniversary in the 2024-2025 Year in Scouting. We are based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and are proudly sponsored by the James B. Edwards Elementary School PTO. We are a part of Scouts BSA, in the Coastal Carolina Council, Etiwan District, 

Cub Scout Pack 9's monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month from September through May and typically run from 6-7 PM. We meet in the James B. Edwards Cafeteria or other varying locations around Charleston depending on the meeting activity. 

Pack 9's calendar is full of adventure, from camping in the great outdoors to racing in our annual Pinewood Derby and much, much more. We're especially excited to include events in the community like fishing, day hikes, and sporting events. Food is central to our Scouting experience; be it a hot meal and award-winning fruit cobbler and s'mores around a campfire, or a pot luck celebration for graduating Cub Scouts. We enjoy a good cast iron recipe and sharing it with our Pack family.

We track advancements and awards using ScoutBook, a simple, online tool that we offer to parents as a way of viewing their Scout's completions as they move along the ranks of Cub Scouting. When a Scout joins the Pack, an invitation is sent for parents to connect to their ScoutBook profile. We plan to regularly communicate with Pack families using the ScoutBook program, so it's important that you accept that invitation and complete your own profile to include your email address and cell phone number.
